The Indianapolis Colts continue to sift through the Tennessee Titans discards to find usable parts.
The Colts reportedly agreed to a one-year, $3 million deal with linebacker Sean Spence, per multiple reports, making him the third former Titan to land with the Colts this off-season.
Spence joins offensive lineman Brian Schwenke and nose tackle Al Woods as former Titans heading north up I-65 to join the Titans AFC South rival. Schwenke, like Spence, was an unrestricted free agent, while Woods was released just before the start of the new league year.
Spence came to the Titans last season after playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and was Tennessee’s nickel linebacker, often supplanting Wesley Woodyard in passing situations.
The Titans gave Woodyard a two-year contract extension last week in exchange for lowering his base salary for 2017 to $2.2 million.
Spence played in 15 games for the Titans last season, making six starts. He had 37 tackles with three sacks and one forced fumble.
