The Tennessee Titans have placed defensive end Mehdi Abdesmad on injured reserve for the season finale due to a high ankle sprain.
Abdesmad spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad and was promoted to the active roster two weeks ago and played in games against Kansas City and Jacksonville.
To replace him on the roster, the Titans have promoted defensive tackle Antwaun Woods, an undrafted rookie from Southern California was in camp with the Titans and has spent two different stints on the team’s practice squad this season.
In addition, the Titans also added two players to the practice squad, linebacker Kourtnei Brown, who has spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on their active roster and with a number of other teams on their practice squad.
Maye, who was an undrafted rookie from the University of Minnesota, was in camp with the New York Giants this summer before being let go in camp.
