The Tennessee Titans continue to add former New England Patriots, agreeing to a deal with running back Dion Lewis, just hours after reaching a deal with cornerback Malcolm Butler.
Lewis, who turns 28 in September, is the type of versatile back the Titans had hoped to acquire to pair with Derrick Henry. Tennessee released DeMarco Murray, who was due a $6.25 million base salary for 2018.
Per a league source, the deal is worth about $23 million over four years.
Lewis, a fifth-round draft choice of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, rushed for 896 yards for the Patriots in 2017, but also caught 32 passes for 214 yards. Between rushing and receiving, Lewis scored nine touchdowns this past season.
He also caught 16 passes in the playoffs and was a key component of the Patriots divisional round win over the Titans.
