The Tennessee Titans made a move to bolster their thin inside linebacker corps on Monday, agreeing to terms with free agent Will Compton.
Compton a former undrafted rookie in 2013, had spent his entire career with the Washington Redskins and was a defensive captain in 2016, when he tallied 104 tackles for the season.
Compton was limited to just nine games last season due to a foot injury.
He has 271 career tackles, with one sack, three interceptions and 12 passes defensed. He was a three-year starter at Nebraska and a two-time all Big Ten selection.
Compton will be a candidate to replace Avery Williamson, who departed as a free agent earlier this off-season to join the New York Jets.
