Outside linebacker Derrick Morgan will miss his second consecutive game Sunday when the Tennessee Titans travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers.
Morgan, who suffered a knee sprain against Houston two weeks ago, sat out last Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals. However, he practiced on Wednesday and Thursday, but was held out Friday from the Titans’ practices at Arizona State.
In addition to Morgan, safety Johnathan Cyprien has not practiced all week with back spasms, but is listed as questionable for Sunday’s contest. Also, tight end Phillip Supernaw did limited work on Friday and will be questionable for Sunday as well.
Left tackle Taylor Lewan, who left last Sunday’s game with back spasms, practiced for the second straight day and is expected to play.
Quarterback Marcus Mariota, who appeared on the injury report with a sprained knee, practiced fully all week and is a go as well.
As for who will step in for the players who are out or could be ruled out, linebacker Erik Walden will start for the second straight week for Morgan.
Da’Norris Searcy would move into the lineup for Cyprien, while newcomer Luke Stocker would fill in for Supernaw.
