Cameron Wake placed on injured reserve

Outside linebacker Cameron Wake’s season is over, as the Tennessee Titans placed the 37-year-old on injured reserve Tuesday as part of a flurry of roster moves.
Wake had to be helped off the field when he suffered a knee injury late in Sunday’s 42-20 victory over Jacksonville, and now will miss the final five games of the Titans’ season after being shelved on injured reserve.
The Titans also placed cornerback Chris Milton, who has been plagued by a couple of different injuries this season, on IR.
To replace them on the roster, the Titans promoted outside linebacker Derick Roberson and cornerback Kareem Orr to the 53-man roster for the second time each this season.
The Titans also re-signed cornerback Kenneth Durden to the practice squad and added defensive lineman Joey Ivie there as well.
Wake, who signed with the Titans as an unrestricted free agent from the Miami Dolphins in the off-season, had a splashy debut for Tennessee in the season opener against Cleveland. He recorded two-and-a-half sacks, including one for a safety. After that, however, Wake’s impact was minimal in the pass rush as he did not record any more sacks.
The Titans (6-5) travel to Indianapolis to face the Colts in a key AFC South contest on Sunday.
