Casey, Walker, Jones all declared out by Titans

Three key Titans players will miss Sunday’s game in Carolina due to injuries.
Defensive lineman Jurrell Casey, who sustained a shoulder injury on the fourth-and-1 stop that helped seal a win over Tampa Bay last week, is out after not practicing all week.
Casey’s absence means likely more playing time for first-round pick Jeffery Simmons, who has played well since being activated two weeks ago following ACL surgery in February.
Also, tight end Delanie Walker, who injured his ankle against Denver three weeks ago and exited early in a win over the Chargers, will miss his second straight game. Jonnu Smith, who had six catches for 78 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Bucs last Sunday, should continue to benefit from extra playing time.
The Titans will also be without starting center Ben Jones, who will miss his first game since signing with Tennessee four years ago. Jones is in the concussion protocol. He missed a play Sunday, but returned to finish the game, but told the coaching staff he did not feel well on Monday.
With Jones out, the Titans will turn to Jamil Douglas to start at center. Hroniss Grasu, just re-signed by the club earlier this week, will be the backup for Douglas on Sunday against the Panthers.
Special teams contributor and backup defensive back Chris Milton will be questionable due to a lingering ankle issue.
The Titans also could activate kicker Ryan Succop, who has bene practicing the past two weeks and has been on injured reserve since before week one. Succop was working to build strength in his surgically repaired knee and legs. Cody Parkey has filled in the past three games after Cairo Santos was waived following four missed field goals against Buffalo.
