Titans v. Chargers.. Return of the Wiz. .. Mariota Madness…. So many answers, but what are the questions? Will running back be our key? Does Andre Johnson still have gas in the tank? Will rookies like Kevin Byard step up in the secondary?

More importantly, what am I going to wow everyone with at the tailgate? It’s a pre=season game so your special dish may get more attention than the second half. So, here’s a few suggestions to dip into the season from our Official TitanInsider.com Tailgate Advisor, Franklin’s Savory Spice Shop :

                                           

                                                Black Garlic Dip

         

Ingredients

1 x black garlic bulb

4 Tbsp. sour cream

2 Tbsp. olive oil[mom_row][/mom_row]

1 Tbsp. shallots, minced

8 oz. cream cheese

1/2 cup toasted walnuts, chopped

pinch of salt

 

 

Directions
In a small blender, combine half the cloves of black garlic, sour cream, and olive oil until smooth. With a knife, mince remaining black garlic cloves. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients except walnuts, and mix until smooth. Fold in walnuts. Chill in refrigerator, covered, for 24 hours to let flavors meld.

Serving Suggestions

 Serve with vegetables or crackers.

Yields

 1 1/2 cups

 

 

SMOKIN CHEESE DIP 

                                                              

 

 Ingredients

1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese (about 4 oz.)
1-8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. Smoky Hills Cheese Powder
2 Tbsp. Nacho Cheese Dip

 

Directions

In a medium bowl, mix cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Smoky Hills Cheese Powder and Nacho Cheese Dip until well blended. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Let sit at room temperature to soften before serving.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with tortilla chips or mixed veggies, such as cucumber slices, bell pepper strips or celery and carrot sticks.

2 1/2 cup

 

Buffalo Bleu Dip and Dressing

                                                                       

 

Ingredients

1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp. Buffalo Bleu Dip & Dressing Mix
1 Tbsp. freeze-dried scallions (or 2 fresh scallions, minced)
1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)

 

Notes

For a thicker dip, increase sour cream and decrease buttermilk. For a pourable dressing, increase buttermilk and decrease sour cream.
Directions

Whisk all ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 min. before using. The flavor gets better the longer you let it sit.

Serving Suggestions

Serve as a dip for wings or veggies. Use as a dressing for greens, deviled eggs or chicken salad. Makes the perfect side for our Buttermilk & Buffalo Glazed Wings.
