Titans v. Chargers.. Return of the Wiz. .. Mariota Madness…. So many answers, but what are the questions? Will running back be our key? Does Andre Johnson still have gas in the tank? Will rookies like Kevin Byard step up in the secondary?
More importantly, what am I going to wow everyone with at the tailgate? It’s a pre=season game so your special dish may get more attention than the second half. So, here’s a few suggestions to dip into the season from our Official TitanInsider.com Tailgate Advisor, Franklin’s Savory Spice Shop :
Black Garlic Dip
4 Tbsp. sour cream
2 Tbsp. olive oil[mom_row][/mom_row]
1 Tbsp. shallots, minced
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup toasted walnuts, chopped
pinch of salt
In a small blender, combine half the cloves of black garlic, sour cream, and olive oil until smooth. With a knife, mince remaining black garlic cloves. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients except walnuts, and mix until smooth. Fold in walnuts. Chill in refrigerator, covered, for 24 hours to let flavors meld.
Serve with vegetables or crackers.
1 1/2 cups
SMOKIN CHEESE DIP
In a medium bowl, mix cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Smoky Hills Cheese Powder and Nacho Cheese Dip until well blended. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Let sit at room temperature to soften before serving.
Serve with tortilla chips or mixed veggies, such as cucumber slices, bell pepper strips or celery and carrot sticks.
2 1/2 cup
Buffalo Bleu Dip and Dressing
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp. Buffalo Bleu Dip & Dressing Mix
1 Tbsp. freeze-dried scallions (or 2 fresh scallions, minced)
1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)
For a thicker dip, increase sour cream and decrease buttermilk. For a pourable dressing, increase buttermilk and decrease sour cream.
Whisk all ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 min. before using. The flavor gets better the longer you let it sit.
Serve as a dip for wings or veggies. Use as a dressing for greens, deviled eggs or chicken salad. Makes the perfect side for our Buttermilk & Buffalo Glazed Wings.
½ to ¾ cup
