Kevin Pamphile misses another practice; questionable for Sunday

Guard Kevin Pamphile did not practice for the second straight day for the Tennessee Titans on Friday and will be listed as questionable for Sunday’s season opener in Cleveland.
Pamphile, who won the starting right guard position in training camp, appeared on the injury report on Thursday after going through Wednesday’s practice.
“It’s a little frustrating. I’ve been preparing myself for Sunday, but whatever happens happens,” Pamphile said. “We’ll see how I feel. It’s nothing major. It’s something small in my knee, but hopefully by Sunday I’ll feel better.”
The Titans will warm Pamphile up Sunday morning before making a decision on his playing status. If he can’t go, then Jamil Douglas likely would get the call.
“I’m looking forward to it if that is the case,” Douglas said of possibly getting the start.
Right tackle Jack Conklin, who was given Wednesday off due to a knee issue, worked in the open part of practice as was left tackle Dennis Kelly, who did not practice on Monday.
The Titans are already without normal starting left tackle Taylor Lewan, who is serving a four-game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance.
Also out was outside linebacker Reggie Gilbert, who was working on a side field. Gilbert, acquired from the Green Bay Packers last week, is coming off an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee that occurred before he joined the Titans.
