Marcus Mariota officially inactive for Titans

Quarterback Marcus Mariota is officially inactive for the Tennessee Titans tonight against the Indianapolis Colts.
Mariota, who sustained a neck stinger injury last week against the Washington Redskins, will miss tonight’s win-and-in game that could send the Titans to the playoffs for the second straight season.
A report by ESPN’s Chris Mortensen indicated that Mariota could risk permanent nerve damage to his arm, if he played in the game.
The Titans are starting Blaine Gabbert, who entered Sunday night’s game with a 2-0 record this season. Austin Davis, just re-signed this week by the Titans, will serve as the backup.
Other inactives for the Titans are linebacker Brian Orakpo, offensive linemen Aaron Stinnie and Tyler Marz, running back Jeremy McNichols, linebacker LaTroy Lewis and cornerback Kenneth Durden.
