INDIANAPOLIS _ Tennessee Titans receiver Rishard Matthews is inactive today due to the hamstring injury he suffered in Thursday’s practice.
Matthews’ inactive status opens the door for veteran Harry Douglas to make his season debut for the Titans today against the Indianapolis Colts. Douglas was activated off injured reserve on Saturday.
The other notable among the inactives is fullback Jalston Fowler, who is apparently a healthy scratch for the game. If the Titans need a fullback, they could shift tight end Phillip Supernaw into the backfield. They also have defensive end Karl Klug, who has played some fullback in goal-line situations in the past.
Other inactives today for Tennessee include quarterback Brandon Weeden, cornerback Kalan Reed, safety Curtis Riley, offensive lineman Corey Levin and defensive lineman David King.
Inactives today for the Colts include cornerbacks D.J. White and Quincy Wilson, running back Matt Jones, tight end Darrell Daniels, offensive linemen Tyreek Burwell and Kyle Kalis and defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway.
