Ryan Succop on track to return from IR

Tennessee Titans kicker Ryan Succop was designated to return from injured reserve, according to the NFL transactions from Wednesday.
Succop, who was placed on IR before the first game of the season, must wait one more week before being eligible to return after missing eight weeks.
The Titans initially signed Cairo Santos to replace Succop, who needed to regain strength in his surgically repaired knee. Santos was waived after missing four field goals in a loss to Buffalo three weeks ago. The Titans then brought in Cody Parkey, and he missed an extra point in Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Succop kicked in Wednesday’s practice, and before practice began, Titans coach Mike Vrabel said Succop was doing well in his comeback.
“When Jon (Robinson) comes down and tells me Ryan’s (Succop) going to practice, we’ll give him a jersey, we’ll give him a helmet, we’ll give him a tee, he can go out there and he can kick, stretch with the rest of the team, break it down, put his hand in the middle,” Vrabel said. “Guys, I don’t really know. I just know that he can’t do anything to help us beat Tampa Bay this week. Whatever happens after that – but, he’s doing good.”
