Titans activate Ryan Succop from injured reserve

The Tennessee Titans activated kicker Ryan Succop from injured reserve on Saturday and waived fill-in kicker Cody Parkey to make room on the 53-man roster.
Succop underwent knee surgery in the off-season and his leg strength was determined to not be sufficient enough to start the regular season, and he went on injured reserve before the Titans’ first game. The Titans initially signed Cairo Santos, but he struggled, missing four field goals in a loss to Buffalo and was waived. The Titans then brought in Parkey to fill in the past three games.
Succop began training camp on the physically unable to perform list, but was brought back and kicked late in the preseason before being placed on injured reserve.
The Titans also activated defensive back Josh Kalu, one of their key special teams players, from injured reserve on Saturday and waived cornerback Tye Smith to make room for him.
