The Tennessee Titans have finalized more of Coach Mike Vrabel’s first staff, retaining strength and conditioning coach Steve Watterson and adding new coaches for the offensive line and running backs.
The Titans also made official the hiring of defensive line coach Terrell Williams, whose hiring had been previously reported last week.
Keith Carter joins the Titans as the new offensive line coach, replacing Russ Grimm. Carter was the Atlanta Falcons running backs coach in 2017 after having served as the Falcons assistant offensive line coach the previous two seasons.
The Titans have also added Tony Dews to coach running backs. He most recently was the running backs coach at the University of West Virginia and is a veteran of 20 years of coaching in the college ranks.
In retaining Watterson, the organization’s long-time strength and conditioning coach, it extends his time of service with the club to a 33rd season, having first joined the franchise in 1986 when it was still known as the Houston Oilers.
