Titans add defensive lineman Brent Urban

The Tennessee Titans agreed to a deal with defensive lineman Brent Urban on Friday, just a few hours before the second round of the NFL Draft began.
Urban, 6-7, 300, spent the first five years of his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens, where he had 52 tackles, 3.5 sacks in 41 games for Baltimore. He also has two blocked field goals to his credit.
Urban started all 16 games for the Ravens last season, and helps give the Titans some insurance on the defensive line because first-round pick Jeffery Simmons, taken 19th overall Thursday night, might not be able to play this season due to an ACL injury suffered while working out in February.
Urban, wno is from Mississauga, Ontario, was selected in the fourth round (134th overall) of the 2014 Draft out of the University of Virginia. He is familiar with Titans defensive coordinator Dean Pees’ system, having played for Pees when the veteran coach was in Baltimore.
