The Tennessee Titans re-signed nose tackle Antwaun Woods to their practice squad on Monday.
Tennessee was to make a corresponding move on the practice squad and wide receiver Jordan Leslie, who was just signed last week to the practice squad, was scheduled to be released.
The Titans found themselves short=handed at the nose tackle position due to the calf injury to Al Woods, who was seen in the Titans locker room on Monday with his left foot in a boot. Titans coach Mike Mularkey said after Sunday’s game that Woods would likely miss at least four weeks with the injury.
Woods was released last week from the practice squad to make room for Leslie on the 10-man list. He was glad to be back with the club.
“It’s great to be back,” Antwaun Woods said. “I’m just going to come here every day and practice hard and do my job and see what happens.”
Woods, an undrafted rookie from Southern California, was among the Titans final cuts in preseason. He had a strong training camp, and at one point was running second team behind Al Woods and ahead of second-round pick Austin Johnson.
