Cornerback Cody Riggs is coming back to the Tennessee Titans active roster.
Riggs agreed to return to the Titans on Monday, per a league source.
Riggs, a second-year man from Notre Dame, was waived last Thursday to make room for offensive lineman Josh Klein, who was claimed off waivers from the New England Patriots.
The Titans did not officially announce Riggs’ return, but they announced that they had waived quarterback Alex Tanney.
Riggs was one of the Titans top special teams players last year and also has experience as a nickel cornerback.
Tanney made the Titans’ initial 53-man roster after a solid preseason as a third-string quarterback, as Tennessee elected to keep three quarterbacks with both Tanney and veteran Matt Cassel as backups for Marcus Mariota.
