The Tennessee Titans will be without linebacker Derrick Morgan, who was declared out for Sunday’s game with the Detroit Lions, along with wide receiver Kendall Wright.
Both players are suffering from hamstring injuries. Wright has been out for weeks, while Morgan pulled his left hamstring in last Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
With Morgan out, the Titans will use a combination of rookie Kevin Dodd and veteran David Bass to help pick up the slack.
“David has really been impressive for this whole off-season,” Titans coach Mike Mualrkey said. “That hasn’t stopped through today. Dodd has had a good week. He’s been flying around. I’ve kind of challenged him a little bit, not just to see what he can do in the game, but I want to see what he can do in practice. I think he showed some things.”
Other than Morgan and Wright, the Titans enter game injury free.
Morgan being inactive Sunday also means that seventh-round linebacker Aaron Wallace will likely make his NFL debut after being a healthy scratch last week in the opener.
